Default 134mph on a 5000' DA, new best MPH

Was lazy and decided to not bother with changing out the tires to the ET streets tonight. Been curious how it would run on the 275/40/17 nittos. Right off the street with no changes, the same way I drove it to work that day it ran an 11.01 @ 130.7 MPH on 14psi with a 1.87 60' leaving on 2psi using the foot brake

I started to develop an exhaust leak after my second pass and it was spooling slow, but managed to get the boost to 17-18psi and was rewarded with a 11.1 @ 134.1 MPH... supra what?

It's summer in Vegas so of course the DA sux, 5000' pile of poop. I'm very very happy with my car. My next set of tires are going to be hoosier radials and I'll actually buy some skinnies. I'm sure running the 275/50/17's on the stock wheels isn't helping my times.

Before anyone says get tires, I have tires, I was just playing around with the way I run it on the street.

I keep threatening to run 20psi of boost on my car, but everytime I try something stops me from doing it, i/c piping popped off last time, and this time I got an exhaust leak. Maybe next time.

1.87 was my best 60' but I only made 4 passes. Not enough to learn the tire. I'm guessing I could go high 1.7's on them once I figure out the launch.

On one launch I managed to leave hard off the trans brake on 5psi (dead hooked too) which usually gets me into the mid 1.6's, but about 30 feet out, the tires got all weird on me and it felt like I was in a paint shaker set on turbo. I don't know what it was (maybe tire shake?), but it was about 3x faster than what wheel hop is and very violent, my vision went all blurry. Got out of it then back in it, waved bye bye to my 10 sec nitto pass and managed an 11.0 @ 133.

Damn man...that car is hauling ***! Congrads on the new MPH, I suggest hitting up a track at lower then 2300ft from sealevel and do it in the fall. You'll be hitting low low low low 10s and 9s granted a good launch.

That's pretty crazy on your 2nd run with your vision going blurry

That wasn't tire shake, it was time and space warping around you

I'm curious to what it was because it was new. The ET streets have done it before, but not as bad as this.

Yeah probably. What shocks/springs are you running and what settings?
Jack up the front struts, let off on the rear shocks, and decrease tire pressure a few pounds.

Struts and springs are stock, so is the tq arm, 80k miles. I do have lower control arms and subrames though. Best 60' is a 1.57

It's never had wheel hop issues before, very strange. I'll probably do some susp work next year unless I find a smoking deal on stuff.

Man, atleast get a decent torque arm on there. That stock bitch is probably turning into a horse shoe when you leave out. Throw a non adjustable on atleast, you can come across them for $200 and it WILL make a difference.

I'll agree with xfactor, get a decent torque arm on there.
