Default C6 - Procharger intercooler reversal

We recently installed a P1SC, purchased from EPP, on a C6.
Installation was completed with no problems. Car ran 15* hotter.
Installed 160* stat and temp came down.

After reading a post on the Corvetteforum.com by BigBollas, we reversed the intercooler, left to right. This did 2 things. It eliminated the 16" length of pipe going across the bottom of the radiator. Thus allowing more unblocked airflow thru the radiator. Eliminating pipe length decreases any low rpm lag. We can actually feel the boost coming on sooner. (Thanks goes out to Big Bollas).

Reversing the was an easy mod as the exit of the intercooler was on top center.
So changing it left to right had no effect. The output of the P1SC now goes straight down and into the intercooler.

A mod worth considering for you C6 Procharger guys.

If you have an airflow problem a cooler thermostat will not fix that and cause the car to run cooler.

16" of tubing will not cause "the boost to come on sooner". Sorry, if I had done the mod to your car and not told you you wouldn't have known any different.

I think he is saying that the coolant temp ran hotter after the installation of the procharger kit. Not that the airflow was hotter. On the tubing thing, I wouldn't think that it would make all that big of a difference but thanks for sharing the simple fix.

We did the intercooler switch about 4 months ago and gained nothing. As for the temp we just changed the fan settings and the temp is about 4-5 degree's above before in stop/go.Same while cruising. The Procharger kit fit's real nice in the C6's.Doing one today in a 500 mile 07.
