Which heads ?
Finally building my engine and I'm looking at heads now, stock block and crank, forged pistons/rods.
I know that the AFR's are nice and all but what's the best bang for your buck for heads? Patriots LS6 heads, or should I just suck it up and go with the AFR's.. just seems like the Patriots do good for a mild set up.
Will have a D1SC @ 8 or so lbs. nothing to crazy all going through an LS6 intake and a GT2-3 cam btw.
Any and all thoughts will be appreciated, thanks guys.

The last few issues of GM High Tech Performance have quite a bit of head info; I think one from the last year even had a big comparison feature. Remember to consider flow at multiple lifts, not just peak... this is one area where AFR (either 205 or 225) is almost always better. But it might not be enough of a difference to justify the increased cost. Oh, and look at the deck heights, too. Even though you're staying low boost.

Power goal is 500-550 at most, over that and it's just to much for the street IMO. I'll spend most of my time on the street and the occasional track day, so 1/4 times are not to important at this time.
Just want to build a safe reliable set up.
