Default Spark plug gap

Have new tr6's gapped at .035.......thats what everyone seems to run.....but what would raising or lowering the gap do?

Car runs good, just doesn't like cold starts....I just give it a little gas to hold it at 1k and 10 seconds later I can let go and it will idle perfect......If I dont add a little gas car will struggle to stay on for the 10 seconds and then will idle normally.......doesn't bother me to much....is it just the cam, tune, or would changing plug gap help.....?

I'm guessing since no one has replied I should just leave them at .035

It sounds to me that it would be in your tune. I'd leave the plugs gapped where they are. If you open the gap up, the spark can be blown out. Bob
