Default Acceleronics Versafueler w/ 96# Injectors question?

Hey guys Ive got a lead on a smoking deal to get this setup. How is the idle on these? I have the 60# mototron injectors allready. But Im thinking my duty cycle will get over 85% quickly with the new setup. I was also looking into the RC 72 # ers but for the same price I can get a versafueler and 96 injectors. Just want to get a little feedback. I did a search but really didnt get a good answer. But I know us FI guys with stock PCM's like to push the limits

JMG

on my 346 I Couldnt get the AFR's to be higher then 11.1 or so at idle.

I made the injector pw's as small as I could without adverse effects and still no cookie.

I did that setup on a 408ci truck and it idles at 14.5-1. On the first start it idle'd at 17-1 A/F. The Versa/96's worked perfect.

I lived with it, it would load up the plugs if I idle too long, but just needed some boost to clean it up lol...

when I reduced the PW's enough to affect the AFR (below 1 ms), the car would start buckling on cruise.

Im sure that now that I have more displacement it will be fine.

This is what I am thinking. I guess Ill keep the 60's and just buy these and try them out. Counting the days to having my ride back!

JM - the first post in this thread has some good info on how to get 96'ers to run on a stock PCM. I haven't tried it yet, but I will be in a similar situation as you come mid August.

mine idle fine except when coolant temps are under 100 degrees...i am sure its my tune though as i am open loop/speed density. otherwise, they idle and run fine.

There is so many mixed results with this Im on the fence. I allready know Im going to have to iron out some bugs but Ill dont need fuel fouling problems. Guess Ill hold out a bit today and see what becomes of this thread.

i dunno what they will do in cold weather but i just went to make you a vid...coolant temps were 195 deg and at idle it was showing 16-17:1 a/f.....when i gave it some gast it went to 14.5ish......you will have no probs with a 400+ ci motor. Now i do run my fp on a boost/vac regulator....base pressure is set to like 38psi i think with the hose off.

i used nitrorockets info he posted on the efilive forum to get mine running leaner. Before that, it was terrible. I THINK i got my cold idle better this morning as well but you only get like one chance a day to see if its right when its cold...we will see tomorrow

jmblwnws6 do you have efilive?

Since you will need 96'ers, why not take a stab at tuning them on the stock PCM before investing in additional hardware?

Because they dont make high impedance 96 #er's. You will burn up the PCM using low impedance injectors. If I am understanding your question correctly.
