Default Turbo Filter

For a pretty much weekend only car do you think its bad to run just a screen filter?

I recently tried a piece of the green foam filter that comes with an HKS dome type. I cut it and put it inside 2 pieces of screen since I dont really have room for a conventional type cone filter. (thanks Joel@ofi )

However the car would not make boost, it was too thick i guess.

I literally only have like 2" of space for a filter or I have to lose a headlight. So I would need some custom made flat filter type deal if thats even possible

I barely drive the car maybe 25miles a week if that. But sometimes maybe once a month will go for 1hr ride on the interstate for a car meet or something.

So just how bad is it to run with only a screen over the inlet?

leave the screen for street racing/dragstrip and definitely use the foam for regular driving. I am in the same boat but found a small k&n to fit...i got a little more room than you. Lady at K&n said it flows 425cfm. I asked if that would support 1000rwhp
