Additional noise now coming from the car / Procharger? Any ideas? So, just recently I've been hearing another noise from the car and I'm not sure what it could be. I know the procharger (d1 8-rib) has a rattling sound that comes with it. But recently I've been hearing a new rattling sound that I've never heard before,...so this is definitely a new sound. I can hear it in addition to the "normal" procharger noise.
The new noise has a rattle to it. It also sounds almost like there also is a valve that is not enclosed so I'm hearing the air being blown. I've done a rough check under the car but it looks like everything is attatched and enclosed. It also sounds like the noise travels with the blower...meaning...when I rev up or down it seems to go with it similarly how the whine of the blower gets louder or quieter. Can a belt do this?
I'm going to go down to my shop that does all my work for me this week to check it out, but was curious to see if there where any rough guesses on what it could be.
Would you guys have any idea what it could be?
