Default IAT sensor and boost

First of all, the search engine sucks. I am not getting the results for the most easy topic and I am getting posts from years ago.

OK, I am concerned that the IAT sensor getting blown out with my F1R. I need to know if my concern is justified and some alternative designs.

Get a Threaded IAT from FAST, and it uses a 3/8 bung. Problem solved.

I've used both. If the grommet is in properly it's not coming out under boost.

Is there any specific way that is best? What size hole should I drill in my pressure pipe?

If the IAT sensor is placed in a metal pipe and the hole is sized correctly, it should stay in place even at 30 PSI. I have seen many IAT sensors come out that are mounted in the silicon couplers. It is bad to mount it there because the silicon is not ridged enough to hold is shape over 4 or 5 PSI. The silicon just flexes too much.
