Velocity rings for Superchargers-gain 1 to 3 psi? Has anyone heard anything about these:

It's a velocity ring that goes in the inlet side of the supercharger-it supposed to raise boost levels by 1-3 psi without spinning the blower any faster.
It would seem to be nice effecient way of getting a bit more boost out of the blower.

it has to do with air turbulence if you decrease the turbulance you increase the flow and efficiency of the of the blower. Same way that velocity stack in ITB setup can change the hp/tq curve by lengthening or shortening the stack.

My inlets on the S-trim and T-trim Vortechs have already been shaped like that, so I thinking that another one strapped on won't add anything. Might not hurt but I can't imagine a double flare would do much. Maybe if your blower had an untapered inlet?

If this is the case, have you thought about getting your blower inlet ported to smooth out the turbulanc like Tony Mamo, Cory Harris, and others do on LS2 throttle bodies ?

I believe it's like $140, I saw them for sale on the NMRA Racing forums. I'm not sure if they work if there is any piping that goes infront of them. I'm also wondering about these mesh screens they run versus air filters-if that's a track worthy option or not. Those Renegade cars are sick, these guys make 30+ pounds of boost with a 8 rib belt using F1R's and Ysi's.

You tighten the belt, make a pass and retighten-do this 3 times until the belt is fully stretched-it will stretch up to 2" according to these guys.

140 bux is kinda pricey, i was hopin it would be more like 80. I wonder if they have documented gains or are just saying it will work. By narrowing the path of the boost and smoothing the flow. I see it increasing velocity. Its pricey cause they are made from billet or something.
