Thumbs up My OFI kit Dyno results!

Well the ole hog did pretty good for its self.

It made 663HP and 667 tq in a sweltering 90 degree shop and the line stopped @ 5800, i wind it to 6400 normally.. No doubt it would make closer to 700 in cooler air or just at night even.

22* timing, 11.9 AFR, Methanol injection, straight pump gas 93, 14.5 PSI

STOCK: block, CI, CR, crank, rods, heads, intake, GM graphite head gaskets

UPGRADES:
ARP Rod bolts, main studs, and head studs. G5X2 Cam, springs, push rods, speed pro forged pistons.

That is it... basically a stock motor that can make these kinda #s... Ill take em!!

wow VERY impressive..How do u like your OFI kit? i am thinking of ordering one in the future. Also what kinda fuel setup do u have in the car?

Well once all the little obsticles were overcome its a great performing kit.

Im running the Racetronix dual in-tank system, -8 feed line, aeromotive regulator (boost reff) and the stock feed line is the return line. 60# Siemens injectors, Speed inc rails. 2nd pump turns on @ 5 psi.

To the avg person it looks like a stock camaro from the outside and just sounds cammed.

Yeah its quiet on film, but in person the neighbors think the airport runway moved to the road behind my subdivision bwhahahaha

This thing is pretty nuts, it kills those M/T drag radials in 3rd gear when boost hits, like literrally smokes them, and 4th gear will typically start to spin when boost hits as well, You can count on having to saw at the wheel in 4th actually at night hahah.

Ive gotta photoshoot this up coming wed for GM High-tech for an article on the car at the local strip so 1/4 mile times will follow.

Great numbers. I'd love to get one of their T6 kits but will all the bad posts lately I'm hesitant. How long did it take for your to arrive? How is the clearance for the plug wires and power steering?

I remember you had asked me those two last questions a little while back...

I did post pics of it then too, but the clearance is tight between the pump and the ABS unit, but ive got heat tape on the PS feed hose and the side of the ABS module, no issues. All the plug wires on the driver side had to be zip tied up to the coil bracket. Kinda of ghetto yes... It looks OK, its not like its obvious they are rigged up there.

Ordered it feb 28th, got it the middle of June.

The Quality over all is pretty good, have to dent mod some things for adequate clearance... but it works and works well.

Its not a mass produced kit like a procharger, so i dont expect everything to be perfect i guess.

Congrats, it's great to see someone achieve those numbers on a modest-cost motor. Which turbo is this? And at what rpm do you see full boost? Did you expect more torque down low... or is that a function of your cam?

right behind one of the PS hoses on the pump is a clip that attaches the resevoir to the actual pump. You can slide a ziptie thru it and pull that p/s hose away from the header. I have not had any issues with it. Once i got some good zip ties and ditched thos fiberglass boot protectors, no more issues with plug wires. I cooked a few alternators tho. Now the down pipe is wrapped right where it goes by the alternator and i have that heat reflective tape on the alternator itself. So far so good. You just have to go over every square inch to make sure something isnt too close to heat or rubbing. Also, GOOD zip ties are worth the money...those damn elcheapos at Autozone and the like suck. Napa or a hydraulic place usually has some good ones that withstand the heat

Its a PTE turbo, 76GTSH

It makes FULL boost just shy of 5 grand and is already @ 10 psi by 4 grand.

Its an N/A cam thats in it , a G5X2 114 LSA cam so it peaks a bit higher. I wouldnt want it to peak any sooner as it doesnt hook when boost hits now.

The car works just like it did on motor before the turbo hits, so its not totally gutless to drive around, and it spools @ 1/4 throttle, giving you a pound or 2 to help out if you so desire.

Why so slow making boost? I have a P76GTS and on the highway can make 15-16psi through a very non-turbo friendly exhaust (chambered Hooker catback) at the bottom 4Ks or below. I'll check tonight, but I know its way before 5K.

Its pretty rich in part throttle i can tell you that, it dips to like low 11's during spool up i gotta work on the VE table in those areas to lean it up a bit, that makes a BIG diff in spool up if its alot leaner then.

I kinda worked on the tune *** backwards, i got it work OK for part throttle then dialed in WOT. Just enough so it would keep the trims 0 when going WOT. The part throttle tuning will take care of the slow spool up im sure.

i made 10psi by accident last night by 4500rpm, and thats with an 8psi wastegate spring (wastegate dump got blocked). with a TC-76

am I reading it correctly on their site where the A2A is optional? if it is are u running a A2A w/ meth or just meth?

BTW, good job on ur setup....very good #s.

I dunno... my AFR is into the high 10s by 4psi and mid 10s by 6-7psi... I'm using meth too.

extremely impressive numbers but damn that's a lot of timing for a stock bottom end car.
