it all depends on what boost levels you put it at, and other mods you would have done.

So in other words we need more info of what you have, and what you want. you could see 450-500.

An sts Turbo will give 100 hp if you use 5 psi. You will have to upgrade injectors, fuel pumps. I am looking to get a STS system for my car and I am probably looking to get my ls1 up 525 hp rear wheel. It looks like I will spend about 7k after all is said and done. Good Luck, let us know how it turns out.

I like mine...but it's not the most ideal setup. Other front mount turbo setups are better but they can cost more and from what I can see, they're much more difficult to install than the STS. Like any setup though, you'll need the supporting mods like valve springs, fuel requirements, tuning, etc.

yes...
and an intercooler, and a hotwire kit for the pump, and misc bolts and tubing, and a tune, and a new rear end, and new clutch or rebuilt A4 and a new checkvalve in case your "used" kit has a worn out one, and a new PCV setup, and 50 other things you never expected. Unless of course you already have a turbo on that LS1

If you only want to run 5-6 psi.. You dont need Valvesprings, you dont need an intercooler, you dont need a fuel pump, you dont need a new rear (as long as your not launching on slicks)...

You will need some transmission stuff if you want it to last.....

trying to just do what will get by is the easiest way to loose the motor.
Do a long highway run under boost with no intercooler or meth and watch IAT's. We have seen an easy 190*. That mixed with ANY lean condition and you will be pulling the motor.

I'm enjoying mine. The powerband is very different from NA. NA with bolt-ons I could floor it in first and instantly break the tires loose, and chirp going into second. Now with the sts, I floor it in first, and the tires don't break loose ... all the way through first, and stay hooked when first getting into second ... but at the top of second, the tires just blow off ... and downshifting into third on the highway ... pure fun! Injectors and fuel pumps are a must. I'd also recommend an intercooler ... even for just 5 psi.

i think STS is more prefered for auto guys, never have to lose boost, where as M6 guys have to keep gettin that boost back, sure it doesnt take long, but it does add up.

i like mine....but i seem to have problems from day 1, and that story will be told another day

I guess you would have to define "long". I have had mine for 3-4 years, no IC, stock motor, 7 psi, no blown-up motor. Never seen IACs anywhere near 190 either, but I don't live in Texas anymore. But I only go up to 140 mph and let off, perhaps that is the difference?
And a FMIC on a Pontiac looks like crud, so perhaps a A2W would be in order?

It always works for me. I just tried it.

Anyways, to OP, just do alot of reading in these forums. You can learn alot and it will save you the trouble of blowing up your motor. Oh yeah, and get alot of money together...

works fine for me, basic STS with the 67 in the back, matching fuel with IC and TRT's cam and i made 503rwhp on a factory clutch with 5.5-6 psi with shitty Longtubes that had a leak on them. here in a few months, i will be getting a built tranny installed with a clutch and factory manifolds that are ported and coated....... plus i already have the exhaust wrap

i'll keep people posted when the boost goes to 7.5-8psi with no leaks and an aftermarket clutch

the only thing in the motor is a cam, valvesprings and rods
