PT98/88 on a 347?
9.1 comp 347 ported heads etc etc will run it on E85 also with 160lb injectors...A/W intercooler, p/g with brake narrowed 9 inch, 3450 raceweight blah blah blah...Pretty much a race only deal but it will be driven to the track from time to time. How would the 98/88 perform? I know the ohio boys ran one on their car for a time...Any input is appreciated.

Turbo Technology has come along was since the 98/88 that was a cheater turbo for classes that had an 88mm max.
You can go with a GT47-88 like PSJ or a S88 like NA$TY-TA

Yes both T6 units and the S91 is 1999, and the FI-9155 is 1999 as well. The FI-9155 is a new unit we have worked on for ourselves. Something to bring the GT55 wheels and new compressor wheel to a smaller package. Same size as the S-series now. The FI-9155 will outpower the S91 by a small margin due to the larger GT55 style turbine wheel

lb/min rating on both units?

S91, ~145+, and the FI-9155 ~150+. Of course their is a BIG * beside those ratings cause like with any turbo it will depend on the cubic inches, cam, intake, head flow, exhaust flow, pressure ratio....etc.

What we didn't like and still don't is the shaft spacing for the unit. The bearings are narrow and leave alot of stress to be taken by the stub part of the shaft. These units only mimic the wheel sizes and flow, but use all different internals as well as shaft size, bearings...etc.

Well I'm sure you've been on the same sites as me, but some guys run 7's with 91's, and anyone with a 94 should easily run in the 7's. I'm sure some of the 88/98 guys have run 7's but unless there is a 88 inducer rule in the classes you want to run why not just get the bigger turbo. I got my 88 to fit a class at GLD (local track).
