Default im curious about some of your FI tunning rituals

i know that every time i get in my car i always have a laptop and WB scanning and logging... and i may end up changing something....

what do you guys do.... when you drive the car to the movies or to town at the local "spot" are you guys always with your laptop....

its like i dont trust my tune and i must always check it... and yes it seems its always off some where no matter how much i drive it... is this normal for it to be off up to 5% in the VE table? under normal driving conditions? my WOT is almost always with in 1-3% in the VE table..

maybe i dont have my ECT X VE multiplier right or something...

i can never dream of "Set it and forget it."

Hell I may as well hardwire my laptop into my car ! I SEE logs in my sleep, wavy colored lines MUST mean something right Ever since the motor and its accompanied quirks,I CANNOT leave it alone ! Try this/modify that, recheck this, order more parts ! Its a terrible addiction, gotta go,my batteries are charged again !

I'm currently building a laptop stand for my passenger seat. Laptop keeps ending up in the floor-board after short sprints. My laptop will be plugged in and logging as long as I don't have a passenger on board.

I take the laptop on long trips and maybe once a week in the car, but I'm still fine tuning the driveability to try and improve my gas mileage.

I'm trying to get my AFR to 14:1-14.5:1 at cruising.

Ussually takes me 2-3 days of driving -to jobs ect to get the tune spot on.When they are done I've never seen a change. We do run permanent widebands in the car just incase but never seen a tune go screwy.

On Purevl's 800+ pump gas car I tuned it about 1 year ago or even longer.Hasn't had a laptop on it yet since. If that tune changed his motor wouldn't be doing good.

So,when it's right you'll have hope.Also I delete the 02's ect.

I agree. While dialing in the tune it should ride with you, but after it is done, just take it to the track for verification that the tune is still dialed in. JMO.
