Default So what's the difference if I switch to YSI from T-Trim?

I guess this is rather novice question, but I'm still wondering what would happen if I would switch from my current Vortech T-Trim into YSi?

Would boost increase earlier? Or would I gain more boost in higher rpms? I guess with my current setup there's no need for more max boost, so would there be any advantage of using bigger Vortech?

My current setup is as follows:

- LS7 block with Eagle 4" crank, Manley blower pistons etc.
- A&A ported Edelbrock LS1 heads (245 cc I think)
- LS6 intake manifold and throttle body
- 60 lbs injectors
- 228/232 115 LSA cam
- 9.8:1 compression
- Vortech race bow
- A&A intercooler
- A&A fuel system
- catch can
- 3.125 blower pulley with Innovate west damper

- stock LS6 exhaust manifolds and stock C5 Z06 titanium cat-back

(see discussion about stock exhaust manifolds here: https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=746475=

put some damn headers on, you are choking your engine and losing power and that will magnified putting a bigger blower on.

go ysi all the way.

I switched from a 418 T-trim to a 429 YSi. I could hardly feel any difference at all unless you get into it.

Sure, I will switch to 1 7/8" next year. But at the same time, I'm wondering what would be the difference with YSi.

Some day, yes, but not now.

By the way, my brother used to own two-door Granada with tiny 1.7 V4 engine swapped with 2.6 liter Essex V6. I thought it was fast, but that was then... The car itself was nice looking, though. Yours not two-door?

We dont get the 2 door cars here in the UK, only 4 doors. It was a 2.8i Ghia auto a few years back. Its slightly different now lol.

The 2 doors were only on mainland Europe, and Scandanavia. Ive seen lots of photos of different ones....I'd really like one, as they are a good bit lighter than my car. But so hard to find, and I cant really jusitfy finding and buying one, as my current car is pretty much rust free...which is hard enough to find !!!

Yep, and I'm from Scandinavia as well... The reason why we got two-doors was high taxes. However, taxes don't permit anyone to make modifications... :-)

Oh, shut up ;-) I'm from Finland, of course.

Here's something for you, a slow street Corvette from Finland (not mine, though):
