Default Would changing my exhaust effect my tube (A/F)?

I had my car tuned with my 3" TD's and Dynomax Super Turbo mufflers, made great power. I have had clearance issues with it and couldn't get a DS loop in so I took it off and am running Moroso Spiral Flows strapped to the collectors with dumps. Obviously this is waaay louder and I ASSume it flows better. Should I be at all concerned that the increased flow will cause it to lean out? I mean, could it really flow all that much better than my other exhaust?

I would at least check the AFR... you'd be surprised how much it can change... it's not worth risking if you ask me.

Sure could. You're not running a wideband O2 sensor and gauge on it to know?

I have a WB but its "real time" (no data logging), so its hard to watch and drive. I haven't really beat on it yet anyway. I guess I just thought the difference between two different 3" mufflers wouldn't be that much.

I would say it is most likely a little leaner. I would make a pull in 3rd or 4th which you should then be able to watch the WB.

We have seen approx 1/2 point difference on cars with similar setups as you explained.

So should this exhaust make a little more power then?

yes i would say the tune is now off a little bit. on my sts kit, i removed the 90* charge piping that goes over the axle for a straight pipe, and the tune was off (lean) by a couple points at WOT due to more boost sooner. i would expect you to have similar results.

hard to say...recently testing a car at the shop with a TD to the axle and added cutouts off headers. We tuned the car with the cutouts open and once closed only seen a 2 hp loss, and it was a bit richer.

if the mufflers you had flow good I would not expect a HP gain

simply make a run in 3rd or 4th to verify your WOT A/F or hit a dyno to be safe
