Default S91 408 TH400.. Need new cam specs..Or do I?

I still have the cam from my 346ci T76 Qtrim combo.

The specs on it is
231/226 601/591 115 lsa

Now since I am going with a bigger ci motor and bigger turbo should I upgrade now?

If so what do you think would be a good pick?

Car will be running on 110 fuel or eth which I think is 106 octane. Mostly Track/ but street friendly.

I tried asking on here to what cam to go with for a 408/80mm front mount and I didn't get much answers. I am going alot smaller of a cam than you are going with jsut to let you know. I think you'll be fine, its harger to pick a cam for a turbo application than it is with a blower. I wish I could be more help but thats all I got? Good luck, it'l haul *** regardless

I wish I had the time to swap cams, I'd love to see what a few cam ideas I have would do for my Formula.

A cam choice should be driven by a questions:
-Max rpm my drivetrain can handle?
-Size of my engine?
-Size of my turbo?
-How driveable the car needs to be?
-Performance goal?

Take my car for example, I'm running a 234/234/113.5 from Speed Inc. It idles fine, I could probaby get someone to get it to idle at 900 rpms for me, instead of the race friendly 1100 I have going. Made 867rwhp thru an unlocked T400, with 25psi, at 6800 rpms, with my 8:1 348ci. So what cam change would benefit me? In my mind if I could lower my power band, a cam swap might be worth it to me. I might need to spin mine to 7500 to get the car to run a lot stronger, time will tell. So maybe a 236/236//111 would be interesting, because it might lower my power band and still make really good power. I know Speed inc. has tried like a 242/242//112, I wonder if they liked what that cam did to power characteristics of the car.

in running a standard 230/230 type of cam.... i believe when it's all set and done, the cam card is about a 231/231 @ 113lsa.

Mine is a s85, 410ci, through a 4l80e.

Depends.

Answer Johns questions above.

I run a 234/230 on 15 in our 408 S-85 setup and it peaks power at 5800rpm then starts to roll over.If you plan on racing you might want a bigger Cam to extend the top end.

Right now this vehicle runs/drives like stock with this Cam.

I'm planning the same setup and W2W spec'd mine out at 24x/23x. If interested drop me a pm and I can give the specifics. If you're unsure call Kurt. He's sure knows his ****.
