We recoverd the car this morning 5 hours after it was stolen! 1 block from my house. Let me tell you guys the whole story.

They had 1 set of my keys so that means they broke into my house and got them when I wasnt there. I woke up when I heard my car fire up. I went outside just in time for me to hear him driving away. All of this happened in my driveway in a gated comunity. We called the police and they put it out that the car was stolen.

Me and alot of my friends went out in sperate vehicles. We didnt find the car in the middle of the night though. I thought the car was gone forever at this point. So I tried to get some sleep. My mom got up to go to sherman and when she was about to get on the highway my car passes her going the other way. She jumps on the phone and calls me to tell me to get on the road going out towards her. We didnt even make it 3 blocks before we pass him in the comunity. We flip the truck around and follow him. He doesnt know we are following him. At this point I am shaking I am so mad.

I was taking all the stuff out of my pockets. I was about to crush this guy. He pulls up behind this building to dump the car and walk home. As he was getting out we came flying up behind him. I jumped out of the car with both fists clinched so tight my fingernails left cuts in my palm. As I walked over to him(Jogged rather) he had the nerve to ask me what I was doing. I didnt even say a word. He had fear in his eyes that usually you only see when someone is looking at the buisiness end of an assault rifle. So he runs over to this gate and jumps it. My dad actually knows this kid. So he tells me to stop and not to chase him. In fear of me getting assault.

So he goes straight to this kids work and gets the name from them. Low and behold this kid lives less than a block away from me down this country road outside the gate. The cops go straight to his house and start the questioning. They couldnt arrest him on the spot because they didnt catch him with the car. They said we have more than enough people to ID the guy. I dont know what he will actually get charged with but he better hope he goes to jail.

I am not even going to say what will happen to him other than what the law will do but you can rest assure he will not be able to steal a car.

P.S. I know we have these boxing smileys but what about where one smiley has a bat end hits another one in the knee caps.

Sucks but since you got the car back I doubt he will get charged with much, unless you can prove he broke into your house as well.

Glad you got it back though, doesnt end like that 99% of the time.

Thats awesome, I'm glad you got your car back!!

Smart move for showing some restraint, I can't imagine how pissed I would be if put in your same situation... right about now I'd probably be hosing off the wood chipper!

They get pretty dirty when you accidently drop a person in them.

Any damage?

+1 I can't even begin to imagine how pissed you must have been when you finally saw the guy. Is everything you had in the car still there? Any signs of abuse?

Glad to hear the outcome!! Man was that fast!!! You need to teach him a lesson outside of the law. Can you notice anything done to the car during the five hours?

Glad you got it back man! Doesn't it prove he broke into your house that he had a set of keys? I'd think that should be enough to convict him.

wow! i would have killed that little bastard. he still stole the car even though you got it back. people get stolen cars back all the time but the fact is it was still stolen and that shouldnt go unpunished.

Try to see if he has any priors with the law. Might be easier to get the cops to do something. Glad to hear you got it back. Getting my FI car stolen is one of my biggest fears.

WOW what a rollercoaster ride of emotion in this thread. I read the title and first post and got sad, then the recovery and im grinning ear to ear for you! Thats a nice thing your Dad did keeping you out of jail. After all the legal stuff is over break out the soap and tube socks and have a lil party with this guy as he needs skooled.
