Identifying steal?
I want to modify my crossover pipe to change the location of my turbo. I called the shop that built my setup and they can’t remember what kind of steel they used to build my crossover pipe. Is there a way to identify what kind of steel it is or am I going to be better off building a new crossover pipe out of 304SS? All of my piping now is ceramic coated if that makes a difference.

you mean steel? :ugh:
put a magnet on it, if it sticks hard, its mild steel. if it barely sticks, or doesnt stick at all, its stainless.
if its ceramic coated already, and theres nothing wrong with it....why **** with it?
