Default Is it possible to get a twin screw curve with smaller twins?

I really want to turbo my car, but I really like the torque curve of the twin screws. I also don't like how turbo's don't really come alive until after 3500 most of the time. Would two smaller turbo's make more power lower? I want 750 to the wheels.

Smaller turbos will spool faster to make boost at low rpms but fall short in the upper rpms.

Run two small 20g or similar turbos, you'll spool by 2500rps and get very close to your 750whp goal on pump. Are you planning on making your own kit or buying a existing design?

750rwhp on pump?? That number seems wayyyy high to me... 750rwhp on stock cubes and pump is serious business.

If he wants it to be like a roots, it would have to build boost almost instantly, in which case, the turbos would fall short at higher rpms. Your driving a v8 so you dont need the instant power.

My only suggestion is big cubes with a turbo just large enough not to choke out...

Are you saying this from experience, or supposing? I've no experience with them on an ls1 but lots on engines half the size with a single turbo. A 20g will flow 650cfm at reasonable efficiency (2bar) . Two of them at 1300cfm will give you the potential to make 750whp. They typically reach full spool on a 2.5L engin at 3000rpm so a bit more displacement per turbo will yield a faster spool. Hell, you can make 350whp with a smaller 16g, it just comes down to how fast you want to spin the ls1.

Yea, but a 76GTS is still laggy on my 388 cid compared to my Lightning or even my old 383/T-trim combo. I'm not sure how the Lancer EVO and Volkswagen GTI get their spool so fast. Those are truly instant.

key words in your post are half the size C.I. using a single turbo and at 2bar of boost.a stock displacement ls1 at 1 bar of boost at 6500rpms requires 76#/min of air.to operate efficiently a 20g turbo requires you be between 250-550cfm's since were talking about a bar of boost as thats the most boost ls1 cars see, especially for the street.500cfms is roughly 35lb/min of airX2 turbos=70#/min of air.ie not very efficient like i said and would either max out the turbos or choke the motor since we havent even brought up the turbine side and backpressure.twin 20g's would work very well on a v6 mustang motor as ive got a buddy with twin 16g's on his.

Hard to tell on mine with the auto. It flashes the converter to 3000 on motor, then to 4400 or so on boost. Even if I hold it at 5000 rpm and hit it, there's still a delay. I drove a GTI and EVO and you really couldn't even tell they were turbocharged they spooled so fast. The EVO especially just felt like a big NA v8 in a light car.
