Default alt 6 rib to 8 rib info (clutch pulley)

when i got my vette front drive setup, the alt came with a clutch (one way) pulley-i ordered my procharger setup with 8 ribs, so had to change the alt pulley
i wasnt sure how the pulley came off, all i could see was the torx looking bolt down in there, so i thought it was a bolt-i broke 2 sockets trying to get what i thought was a bolt out-dumb!
since i wasnt going to reuse the pulley, i cut it off, now i know how it comes off-lol
the torx bolt is the end of the alt shaft, and instead of a nut, there is an insert that is part of the clutch, and it threads onto the shaft-it looks like their is a special tool with outside teeth that would hold the clutch, and a hole that the torx wrench would go thru and into the shaft
i called vette shops, chev, nobody knew how it came apart, it is not a service part, so no gm tool avail.-now i have to find a metric nut, 15-16 mm
to hold the new pulley on with-maybe this will help someone, or they will stick with 6 rib s/c-lol
