Default can I get 800rwhp with my d1 and a 408?

I guess for once I would like to have a sweet dyno queen and a fast car, im planning on switching to bobs front mount intercooler and keeping my meth inj.
is it possible to hit 800 on an unloaded dyno with my combo, ill be keeping my patriot heads and other related stuff, will my 60lbs and my twin intank setup be enough food for my beast? any ideas and comments would be greatly appreciated, by the way im planning on going to a 4l60e which wont help my case on the dyno.

The d1sc will be near max out around 750ish mustang dyno, im guessing with a nice cool intercooler and a good tune it can be done. As far as a 4l60 holding 800 and being reliable, if it does you might consider buying a lottery ticket

The 60lbs MAY hold it just depends if your spraying meth and your AFR.

Pretty much what Bob said.

D1/408 -can be done with a decent setup.
4L60 -waste of $$,it will blow up within time.
60lb injectors -Why risk the motor, just do 75lbers.

Sorry, I let you down. lol

Check out this T/A with a 402 and a D-1SC. It made 757 on our Mustang Chassis Dyno, which would be somewhere around 800 on a DynoJet. Bob

Your 4l60e will let go at around the 700rwhp. The band's just won't hold the power. You will be maxing out the blower as well.Pretty much as stated above.

There are several RPM 4L60E that are holding 800 and even 950 rwhp. Though most tend to get rebuild or refreshed after a season or two......

Get a 4L80e, well built, they are darn near bulletproof. Weigh a bit more, but way worth it IMHO. Run at least 75lb injectors, don't push those 60's for that kind of power. You can make up for it with meth, but why? A D1 can be pushed to acheive those numbers with a good setup and tune.

This is the best advice you can get.

YES! When I was making 735rwhp,I had RPM's Stage 5 tranny and the band's would not hold the power. It actually held the power for about 2 month's and then I sent it back to them and they put new band's in it and they told me I needed to go to the 4l80e or a th400! There tranny's are excellant, but do not have the holding ability for higher hp car's!

Nope. Chris at ESC has a 950ish rwhp vette with a RPM 4L60E. Numerous passes and holding good so far.

I would like to know what the "special sauce" is that rpm is using. I would of loved to stay with my 4l60e!!!
