Default 11:1 CR, H/C, and Boost from D1SC ... Need some info

OK, this will be my second FI car. My T/A only has 39K on the bone stock motor. I have some left over parts from my Formula that I have thought about using on my T/A. I have PP Stg2 LS6 heads and Speed Inc. SC2 camshaft. The only thing is that I had the LS6 head combustion chamber reduced to 59cc thru welding and machining. With the stock pistons and .060" head gasket, I am going to see about 11:1 CR. I have heard of some Z06 owners that bolted on a Procharger kit with about 7psi of boost run fine with good tuning. Now I know the Z06 cam is much smaller compared to the SC2 cam I have. So I am thinking that with the larger cam and ported heads, I would get some compression bleed down to run the small amount of boost.

But here is another question, how much boost would I see on a stock motor with a D1SC, 7.25" crank pulley and 4.25" blower pulley (1.71:1 step-up). Because what I get with a stock motor I know it will be less with the H/C.

So that is what I am asking and please don't talk about my stock bottem end will not hold up or anything else like that.

I'm going to say you'd see about 6-7 psi of boost. The better efficiency of your heads and cam will bring the boost down as you mentioned, but the higher compression ratio will alter that a little. Bob

I had the 7.25/4" on my original engine with close to 10:1 and an 01 Z06 cam and saw around 10psi at 6500rpm. Going from 4-3.7-3.4 picks up around 3psi per .300 pulley size so I would imagine 6-7 or so like Bob said.

And yes some guys make excellent power on Z06s with the higher compression, just cant get greedy..

I got 13psi with that pulley set-up. I'm not sure why it was so high but I had 317 heads & a f14 cam with very free exhaust and intake and big fmic. It made 682rwhp and ran low 10s. It did't last very long though, if you care you can check my other post for what happened.

Is this with a P1SC or D1SC? I have and intend to use my D1SC.

Thanks for the answers so far. The pulleys I mentioned are the lower overdrive combo I have.
