A question for the ProCharger owners about daily driven reliability...
I'd just like to ask the ProCharger owners about their opinions on reliability for a daily driver. I'm not talking about a race set-up for the street, just a base level boost setting for a particular application on a daily driven street vehicle.
For example, someone buys a new Vette and installs a ProCharger (5-6 pounds of boost) for an everyday driver. Is there any issue with reliability?

We installed an ATI ProCharger D-1SC at 7 psi on my '99 Z28 when the engine had 110,000 miles on it. Here is a link to it. http://www.exoticperformanceplus.com...Car.php?car=12
No problems at all until we got bored with it at 125,000 miles and jacked the boost up to 15 psi. Surprisingly it held together for quite a while, including two different dragstrips. Bob

I went almost 30k on my stock engine at 6psi and would have went for a loooong time after that if I wouldn't have been sucking in water thru my bypass valve That one was totally my fault because it was mounted right under one of the heat extractors of the mecham hood. I knew of a guy who went over 100k on his D1 setup and then sold it when he sold the car...

I usually don't fequent this section, so I wasn't sure you were alluding perhaps to a member that say installed a low boost ProCharger on a bone stock engine and then had the engine fail?
It's looking like a stock motor with a low amount of boost is about as reliable as factory stock.

If you want to run low boost and want reliability for a C5 I would look into a maggie for the better low end, unless you plan on getting crazy with it in the future.
