X-pipe versus no X-pipe?
I've been doing some research and came across some info on YellowBullet where guys are saying that after 750 rwhp the X-pipe on a Centri car is a restriction. There saying that just striaght pipes will make more power after this point. Then I went over to the NMRA forums and checked out what the Renegade guys where doing and they too for the majority of them ran no x-pipes. Do you guys have any thoughts on this?

I thought that an X-pipe, on a full system car, allowed both banks, to exhaust thru all available silencers, as opposed to a dedicated tube.
If running cutouts or open pipes. Cant see any point in an X-pipe though.
I ran my old TT RV8 with separate pipes, then added a balance pipe later. No idea on power, but with the linkup, it sounder much much better, and in general, was quieter. Id assume the same with an X-pipe.
Ive a dodgy DIY X-pipe on mine, that is fully open inside.
A friend has a DiFillipo exhaust on his Monaro, which has an X-Pipe. But its only really linked with a hole circa 7/8"-1" on the backs of the 3" bends where they join together to form the X.
