ls6 cam gains over stock on Procharged cars
What kind of gains are people getting over the stock cam which switching to the ls6 cam??? im thinking about doing the swap and it looks like a pretty good f/i cam, from my limited understanding.
im hoping for about 30 more rwhp so i can hit the magical 500rwhp number and 10 second barrier. any suggestions on springs (thinking the stock ls6 springs) and pushrods (comp 7.400 length?)are also appreciated.
if you have any before and after dyno graphs, that would be awesome.
thanks

While I can't give you a specific number, what I can say is that the ls6 cam is a good BUDGET cam. The only reason to use it is if you really want to save that last $150-$200. It is hands down the CHEAPEST decent FI cam on the planet, but much better gains can be had from others that would still probably pass emissions, if that is a requirement.

they claim around 40 hp nat asp with the cam change, so i would imagine would be close to the same-its what i am using on my cheap upgrade, and the ls6 springs-you will have to ck your p/r length, and the lifter preload-the 7.400 might work, sometimes 7.325 hits the mark-they seem to lean to 1/2 turn preload for higher rpm's, but 1, 1 1/2 turn would be ok

I have tuned quite a few Bone Stock C5's with the P1SC and hit the 500 RWHP with ease, In fact the lowest car came out to 484RWHP and these were SAFE tunes, could of probably gained 10+ more but I do not do border line tuning..I know all cars are different and if you are at your mark and safe, then I would say with the cam swap you should reach your goal...
