Default Back Firing At Idle HELP!!

I just installed my supercharger (Powerdyne), and bad idle and it backfires when you rev it up and at idle, also when you drive it at low RPM??? Any help!!! The Supercharger only has the 4.5lb pulley. My computer has been redone for my H/C setup, do I need to have it recalibrated?
Thanks, have a safe New Years and God Bless Our Troops and the U.S.,

John I would definitely go have your car tuned... Even with the 4.5psi you're going to need bigger injectors and a new tune catered around the FI you just put on... I would not WOT for sure because you do not want to have to invest in a bottom end right now if you don't have to... Have a happy New Year yourself and let us know how it goes...

98turbls1 ,
I'm running 36# injectors now and I also installed the Welbro 255 fuel pump.
I would love to have it dyno tuned but no one is close to do it. PCMforLess
(Brian H.) did my current tuning.
Thanks for the Info. and have a safe New Years,

If the car is not tuned for the injectors or the S/C you absolutely need to have it retuned before you get into boost.

I'm going to get in touch with Bryan Herter at PCMforless and at least have it reflashed to my setup. Untill I can get some where to get it dyno tuned.
My car is now away for the winter. Just wanted to start it and go for a little spin.
Thanks for the info and have a safe New Years,

it's backfiring because of the larger injectors.. it did the same thing in my car when I put my 60lb injectors in and fired it up.. Just change your injector scaling and throw a little more fuel at it/take some timing back at wot and you should be a little safer.. do you have a WB sensor?? It would behove you to get one... Better safe then sorry you know..

98turbls1,
Would you go to 42# injectors or do you think the 36# injectors I have installed would work??? I also have a little shot of nitrous installed on my car as well.(Wet Kit).
Thanks Again and have a Safe New Years and God Bless Our Troops and the U.S.,

i personally would go with the 42lbers... just cause they're cheap and you don't want to be so close to maxing them out at 4.5psi of boost...

98turbls1,
And the 42# would also work if I decide to go to the 6#pulley??
I only want to do this one more time and get it right. Your help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

For sure... If 6lbs is all that you're going then I would go with them.. I don't know how much boost you can really go with on the powerdyne cuz they have a tendency to snapping the belt inside of the headunit... Have you addressed that problem yet???

Not yet I just installed it and trying to get the bugs out of it, popping/backfiring at idle and low RPMs. And I can go to a 9# pulley but they do not recommend it. That's why I went with the 4.5# pulley, powerdyne said it would last the longest without rebuilding it.
