Default New to forced induction. Question

I have a stock LS1 and I wanted to add a turbocharger to it. I have a T-72 with a .96 AR turbine section.
I plan on running no more than 8 psi for now, as the motor is stock. I will upgrade as necessary. My h.p. goal would be about 550 h.p. (crank)

Is this a good turbo for the engine?
Will the standard turbine section (I don't know the trim) with that A/R pose too much back pressure for the 346 cu in.?

sounds like it will work and reach your goal.
the .96ar exhaust with the 346 will be just fine and give a decent amount of spool time.

Will backpressure be an issue with a 3" downpipe?

Great. Thanks for your help. Sounds like I bought the right size. I plotted it on the compressor map and it didn't look all that great at low boost, as the max RPM point was almost at the edge (I am guessing around 55-60% efficient) with 3000 RPM being very close to middle (70% efficient, I think) island.
