Default Time to mod the vette..QUESTIONS!

Ok so the project car is a 2001 corvette. I am looking to pull the ls1 and get an ls7 block with 9:1 compression, obviously using some means of forced induction. Is this at all doable with 10k? The goal is 800RWHP. Would it be cheaper overall to keep the ls1, and just replace the internals?

Budget: $10,000

well i know the parts required, my personal car is a 300zx TT with gt2871r's and a custom vmount setup, that end goal is 850rwhp. the vette is my dads car, im just saying, ls7 vs ls1 rebuild to get 800rwhp. I guess thats my biggest question. Well I guess i need to research some supercharged setups. seems like all the prochargers are listing themselves around 7-8psi, obviously due to the 11:1 comp, but i dont know whats required to make them push enough boost to hit 800rwhp with a 9:1comp.

I don't think you'll be able to do a new motor and FI for 10k. I am at ~14K with a new Iron block and procharger set up. Not including labor and other upgrades.
