Default Stock MAF w/ screen better for STS setup?

Right now i am running a granatelli MAF, however, i plan on installing my sts kit soon and i was thinking about going back to the stock MAF. I was thinking of doing so reason being is becuase the MAF will be relocated where the air has to come at an angle. I know that a de-screen maf doesnt have an affect with a lid setup, becuase the air is coming in straigh anyhow, but with such a angle with the sts setup, im thinking the screen will help straighten out the air and help the idle and what not. The other thing that is of concern is, the stock MAF maxing out. Im sure i will be over 500rwhp after the turbo setup, so im hoping i dont run into problems with that as well. Let me know what you guys think i should do. thanks.

dosent the sts kit keep the MAF in the stock location? i know it does in the lt1 cars.
as for the MAF maxing out. the few guys i have talked to HAD to get it tuned to run right past the spool point. some thing about it maxing out the VE tables and that WOT mode

just keep the stock screened maf.
The STS kit will relocate the maf lower in front of the alternator.
A good tuner will take care of it running right.

Or you can go SD, and eliminate the MAF all together. By the way, I am running out of fuel pump with my racetronix setup, so you might want to think about going bigger on the fuel setup. Just a thought, I know it's a little off topic.

i run the stock MAF with no problems.... i previously had the SLP 85mm maf, but my tuner told me to switch back to the stock one.
