Thanks !!! Mmmm ***** that's a good thing for sure!
A few more 90's and a couple flex sections to the existing exhaust system and the hot side will be done!
I am cheating a bit, since there are no accessories to deal with.
This is a toy vehicle, so I am worried more about ET's than A/C!

Thanks datsbad! I edited my previous post.
I did mean wastegates, it's been a long day and I am having some beers!
So, you ran your wastegates to atmosphere and it sounded good?
I want this setup to be quiet when I am being nice to it (rarely) around town.

The GM# is 25534416 for the single plane GMPP manifold that is predrilled!
Don't forget to order the Fel-pro gasket #1222-2 as well!
I am working with a shop to manufacture custom rails for this manifold too!
I will keep you posted how they turn out in this build!

The relationship of the piping will make joining the wastegate outlet to the downpipe very easy, so I may just connect it prior to coating everything.
The rest of the exhaust consists of dual 3" straight through mufflers similar to Ultra-Flows with an X-pipe leftover from the previous setup, so it should sound nice under power!

I may be wrong but they seem to be the same as the LS2 manifolds from a C6. I have a set off of a 2005 C6 and they look just like those. If this is the case then I would think they may be easier to find. I hope this helps...
My very first new car was a 79 Z-28 and I thought I was the ****, back then. I've changed my attitude since.
And but the way nice twin-turbo build...

Thanks for the compliments everyone!
This is my first turbo build so there is quite a bit of time spent "eyeballing" the setup.:chug:
It would be nice to be able to call up and order a twin turbo kit for a 79 Camaro with a LS1 based engine, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.
The build is actually half the fun for me, so I don't mind the time spent building it.
It just adds to the pride factor for me knowing it is a unique home-built ride!

Thanks Tiago!
I will be starting this beast up using the race gas tune that you sent me a while ago.
I will be running about 75psi base fuel pressure on E85 at start up to get the mixture close enough for breaking in the new motor.
I hope this biach runs the magic 8.??? this year.
My goal is to get thrown out of Union Grove by fall, then
upgrade the cage from an 8 point to a 12 point and maybe throw on a chute over next winter.

Thats pretty badass man, makes me wish I'd kept my '79 that was my first car at 16. I built a motor for it but that was before the LS1 was anywhere close to my budget! Thats crazy man, makes me wanna hunt down my old '79 now and offer to buy it back and go nuts with it! hahaha
