How much vaccum is normal for LS1's

Default How much vaccum is normal for LS1's

Just saw a video of someones procharged WS6 running and they were pulling -20in lbs or however it is rated (at idle)..... My car pulls around -12.......Do I have a boost leak

W/ the TR224 cam I had idle vacuum around 16-18. The new CC 225 Cam I have now pulls around 19 at idle. Might have a small leak or it could be gauge error. My friends ProCharged car only pulled 12inches at idle, but that was a 232/236 cam at over .600 lift.

BTW, if your vacuum is truly low, then you'll feel it in the brakes too....ie the brakes won't work as well as the booster uses engine vacuum.

Ever since I got my ss I noticed that the brakes did not feel as strong as my Z28....guess I need to check for leaks

what do you call (idle) 700 800 900 1000 rpm
my is vacuum ...... .......8 at 10 12 15 with the rpm above

vacuum leak maybe? has it always been that low or did it change after you did some work to it ? and how does it run off idle
