Default Took the plunge today!!!!

Well, its official, i ordered my procharger kit today from bob over at EPP
Ended up going with a D1 kit, the front mount, and the 8 rib set up.

Bob was very helpful on the phone, and should take about 2 weeks to get here.

I, to say the least, am totally ecstatic, probably wont be able to sleep for a few days.

Anyways, just figured i'd spread the joy.

WOOOHOOO!!!!!

Thanks...

Haha, would love to play some golf, but it just so happens I'm in lovely central NY. We are getting an ice storm tomorrow i think :-(

I cant complain too much though, this winter has allowed me to do all the work to the car. I went from a bone stock car to where it is now (see sig) since the middle of November. Which is a pretty big accomplishment, this is the first time i have had a project like this. A guy i work with has been helping me, hes a die hard old school pontiac guy (he restored a 1970 GTO). So these "new computer controlled cars" are something new to him. And we have done everything ourselves, minus the head porting.

I am having it dyno tuned @ Red Line Motorsports, out near Albany, NY most likely. One of my friends dyno there LT1 w/ spray there, and he did a great job. They are located about 2hours east of where i am.

My 2nd choice is probably New Era, out in Rochester, NY. Another friend is having his heads / cam ls1 tuned there at the end of March.

So i'm going to see how much luck he has.

But most likely Red Line.

Thanks...

We have seen 757 rwhp out of a D-1SC on a 402, and the D-1SC can also be used on a stock bottom end. This makes it a really flexible blower.

You can upgrade to the F-1A and make it work with the stock 8 rib bracket assembly, although it would put out too much boost for the stock bottom end to handle. The F-1A is a $500.00 upgrade but you're more than likely going to want the race bypass valve ($360.00) it you're running a lot of boost.

The F-1C is another $500.00 on top of the F-1A, and to make it work is going to require a lot of mods. I don't see the stock bracket system working, and the larger volute diameter may cause some problems. The added length would also require the radiator to be moved forward.

That what i was thinking, and once i have the motor done later, the D1 will put me where i want to be. I had the intentions of building a street car, and the D1 is going to work perfect for that.

I appreciate the input though.

Thanks...
