Turn the manifolds around and make a 2.25"-2.5" cross over infront of the engine and put the turbo right there. use a pusher fan in front of the radiator for more clearence. Check out the sticky DIY on 6.0 manifold turbo kit. Lots of great info and ideas there to get you started

you also might be able to flip the manafolds up and forward if your engine bay is big enough, this will help out with not modifying the accessories.

I watched your video, that is a very nice and clean setup! Did you get the intake from a dealer or wrecking yard? How is your setup holding up? Where can I get the flange for the turbo? and how much boost are you pushing?

Here is the build up thread I did with the 5.3 and MP t-70 turbo, I put in my dads '72 Chevy 4x4. I did ALL the work myself. Let me know if you have any question.

Thanks alot , I built the full set up on the car at home in my garage ,the intake is just a used LS1 Car intake they can be found here on the for sale section quite often for pretty cheap .. the motor is working great but the trans did not like the large amounts of power it was exposed to so now its out and the car is getting a 900 hp rated trans brake th400 , I was running 12 psi on pump gas for the 134 mph runs but will probably go up to about 15 with meth injection once the new trans is in.

Thanks Neil

How much am I looking at for the intake and did you get the throttle body with it to or did you use the original or aftermarket?

Thanks,
Kurt

Depends if you want a stock ls1 intake probably 50-100 bux and if you want the better LS6 intake your lookin at 300 or so .... the throttle body is a stocker that was ported.
