converter for boost
i'm looking for a converter for my turbo setup, i have a art carr 3200 but i think its blowing through the converter. i have 4.10 gears and a turbo 350 trans so my mph is limited but when i'm at 75% throttle my mph is around 90 to 100 mph when it hits the rev limiter in drive, and when i'm at 50% throttle my mph is around 105 to 115 when it hits rev in drive, so basically when boost comes in i'm hitting the rev limiter really fast. I'm thinking about sending this one back and having them tighten it up, what does everybody think? i'm around 800-1000hp in a 3500 lb car, or does everybody think i'm just out of gear

my top mph before in the 1000 foot with 4.10's was 115 bouncing off the rev with those street tires, and with the 27 inch slicks it was 119 and was not on the rev.
this was before the turbo setup

Sounds like you would run out of gear real fast. My NC converter is close to stock stall and around 3200-3400 on the T-brake, I'm will be about the same HP, around 1000+, and same weight. I would have the TC checked out.

You are out of gear for sure unless you take that bad boy to 8500 or something. When I had my old 4.10's in my car when it had the blower (now turbo) car would hit like 137mph on the dyno, with the 3.50's it was hitting 162mph.

but my mph changed depending on how much i was in it, i dont think spinning would slow down the mph, would it? i'm going to try it with 27 inch slicks and see if i can make it work in the 1/8th or 1000 ft.

Brady is an expert on 1/8 racing, you should PM him or Madman. But even so, say you run 15 psi, you could be at 800-900rwhp and on 28's 4.11's would still be too much gear. I'd say 3.70/3.73 at the most.
