Default Truck mani turbo kit possible on C5?

i was just curious if anyone has seen/heard of a DIY turbo kit made with the 6.0 truck manifolds on a C5 corvette.

i have never seen anyone useing anything like that on a C5....dosen't mena it cant be done though.

are you thinking single or twins??

there are some Ebay turbo kits going around for not alot of money at all. there is a guy on here who has seen them first hand.

as for singles, no one has done one for some time now. most of the custom ones go for conventional forward facing headers.

thanks Chris.

I would rather it be a single but either or would be suitable! I was just curious if it would be worth trying? There are too many complete kits out there to spend a tremendous amount of time and money on a DIY kit!

i think OFI are looking to do a single kit. might be worth having a word with them and see what they say. most of the other single turbo stuff i have seen has been custom.

The manifold don't fit pointing down on the Vette. You could probly point them up but that wasn't an option when I was figuring it out.

i did search, but didn't find much of anything.

i know this is digging up the past, but with the truck manifolds not fitting is this due to the c5 accessories or more of the body/frame/etc? i'm guessing it would be the c5 alt bracket or power steering pump/reservoir.

care to share your findings?

i dont think its possible, well let me re-phrase that. i think youd have more work into it than it would be worth.

what's making it impossible, or more involved?

the reason i'm asking is i'm planning to use truck manifolds with the c5 accessories, in a 240sx not a vette. i'm trying to determine if the "impossibility" is due to the vette engine bay or the c5 accessories.

my first question was a little misleading.

thanks

it would be the engine bay combined with the accessories.
you may be able to pull it off with more room. i mean it is still an ls1
