Default lookin 4 800hp

I'm thinking 370 lq9, stock crank, compstar rods 6.125, diamond -2cc 4.030 pistons, ls6 oil pump, custom headers & exhaust, garrett gt40r. not sure which heads yet thinking some ported 317's. think its doable.

I don't see a problem with it making 800 rwhp. Bob

With 317 heads, you are going to be around 10.2:1 static compession. At that level I would not run more than 7 to 8 pounds of boost. With that setup, I think you could hit the 500 to 550ish level of rwhp. You could most like do 600ish rwhp if you up the boost a little run unleaded 104 or a meteric **** load of methanol. To make 800 rwhp, you will need to drop the compression level way down.

From what I figured that gives you about a 10.4:1 compression ratio. You're going to want a much larger dish on the pistons to run large boost on 93. The main thing you should think about is how are you going to fit that turbo in the vette. Please don't say in the rear.

Thanks!

Check out this APS Firehawk that we built. It was initially built to be an N/A motor.

go with the -8.6 diamond pistons, that will put your compression where you need to be

GT40 turbo is too small. T76 is the smallest you would want to go on a 370 in most cases.
