Default question on compression?

why low compression for gas turbo/super charged?

why high compression for diesel turbo charged ?

thats not an accurate statement,turbo diesel engine generally run at about 18-1 compression,n/a diesel engines run around 22-1 compression,they reduce compression just the same as gas motors,they just run more compression due to the slower burn rates of the fuel

In a diesel fuel is not in the air mixture during compression so really no issues with pre-detonating.
