Default Gone turbo single fan ?

Ok i bought a ptk style off brand turbo kit. Well I get it all together and there is no way my drivers side fan will clear. I had to pull the fans off to get the turbo on it. Whatelse can I do for my fan setup? Can I go to one big single fan and not have to worry about overheating? this is on a 98 z28 thanks guys

Spal single xtreme fan puller 3,000 cfm 16.3" tall, 3.65" thick and 15.75" wide. This will free up plenty of room and be plenty to cool a turbo motor.
Good luck,

-Tim

Part # 01460 from non-sponser. I don't have any running results at this time and it is aparently a non sealed motor fan but I have run a similar style fan on a '69 Chevelle w/177 Weiand sc I had without problems on the street. It does get very dusty were I live in NM.

I will be using Evans coolant which I have in the past on stock radiator and
past D1-SC tuner kit which had a single fan on a 10#'s boost 346cu. forged set-up. That was my every day driver 23 miles one way mixed traffic.
A 60 amp fuse start and 30 amp continually will be needed for the Spal fan.

How do you wire one fan? I thought they worked off of each other or something.

i like the idea of 2 seperate fans. that way when one dies you have a back-up. its not to often both will die out at the same time. when we used to rockcrawl i had a single fan burn-up and thats the last time i ever relied on a single fan

One pusher and one puller was what I was told and am going to try myself.

I too have the ptk kit as well, will find out soon if this works.

I doubt one puller is gonna be enough once it's summertime. Maybe with some sort of shroud?

I ended up saying fu*k it and ditched the AC on mine, stuck two big pushers on the rad. If you have to worry about how hot your gauge is getting, you'll never turn on the AC anyway.

Now thats a question I could never find the answer to. Not even the dealership could help on that.
