Default turbo oiling under deceleration or idleing?

Anyone ever have this problem? Smoking will go away when driving and under boost when oil pressure comes up, but will smoke when decelerating or idleing? Turbo is a freshly rebuilt TC76MPS. Probibly never needed to be rebuilt the first time it was a crankcase venting problem that was causing the drain to backup and cause the oiling problem. This is a new problem with the crankcase vented. However we are not sure it is a permanent problem since it has only happened twice. It happened the first time right after putting the rebuilt turbo back on the car when the car idled for five minutes it did start to smoke then a little driving it went away. Now after a few mile drive exiting the freeway going down the offramp it was smoking and while it was idleing it smoked then with some more driving the smoking went away??????? Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Its -10 tapped into the front top of the pan and I believe its a -6 feed whatever the largest recommended is I know that is what it is. They are both at 12 and 6 oclock and my turbo sits where the battery was so the drain has a nice downhill straight slope to it. I do not have a breather on the oil fill. My catch can is hooked up to the passenger side valve cover and is getting vacume from the turbo inlet. The large vacume hose that comes along side the passenger side of the intake manifold that used to connect near the TB is vented to the atmosphere does that hose vent the driver side head? I am still wondering if my motor is vented enough. It only sees 10 lbs of boost.

Whoa -6 is way to big for that unit. -4 if you have to cover some ground (long line). if it is short enough and you move alot of oil you can use -3 (3/16").

Well I am not sure about that for one I just remember asking turbonetics about the size and they told me that is the largest they recommend. So maybe we should try dropping a size on the feed line? Let me do a quik search here since I posted up when I first had the oiling issue and we vented the motor and the oiling went away. I'll be right back. Thanks for your help hellbents.

can't find the info I emailed this post to Rob the shop owner who is a sponsor here on Tech Strictly Performance he will have to chime in on the oil feed size for us if I can remember right it is -6 might be -4 though. Maybe I will look through my old e mails. I think my catch can vent system can use some improving also. I know Rob is speaking with some of his turbo guys at the momment regarding my issue.

so I take it oil feed line size depends greatly on the size of the turbo? I know the TC76 is considered small.

Well I spoke with Rob and the feed line is a -4 I think we are gonna try a -3 and see if that helps and it should since the turbo should be fine. I will update here soon.

no joke, restrict it. -3an is fine...but why spend 18 bucks on a smaller feed line? A nitrous jet is like 2.50 at a speed shop?
