Default Relocating STS oil return line to timing cover or pan. Write up thread on this?

Used the search. Found a couple pics and nothing more. Is there a write-up thread on relocating the STS return line from the oil cap to the timing cover or oil pan? Looking to clean my system up w/ this mod. Prefer to not pull the pan if possible. Curious to what AN fittings & sizes/ or bulkhead fitting... ) people are using to do this.

Appreciate any info

They have a pic of it, but no close-ups and no info on what fittings were used, etc.

when i swapped eng i had a machine shop drill the pan and weld on a piece of tubing -- then i attached the oil line to the tubing end. i can try to get you pics this coming weekend , i have to change the oil anyway. i tapped into the lt side of the pan above and forward of the oil filter.

An an Bulkhead fitting should work but i'd worry about drilling into the pan (shavings).

It's my camaro that EPP ran the oil return line into the oil pan. Bob said that running the line back to the valve cover would be bad because of putting too much oil on top, where it does not need any more.

and the valve cover is kinda thin and you cannot return it on the valve cover where you have the valley to prevent oil from getting up into the breather lines/vaccuum lines

the best bet is to leave it returning where STS has it or do it at the front of the oil pan... only problem is getting to it

My GTO is returned into the pan. I'll try and take some snaps of the hardware used.

Appreciate that. BTW, looking to relocate because it seeps from the cap under WOT. Not a lot, but just enough to get on the valve cover.

IIRC, the Procharger installation instructions go step by step on how (and where) to put the return line in the oil pan. Sorry, I don't have the link.

so do you have to take the oil pan off to do it or could you drill it and keep a vaccum next to it or something and then tap it and do the same think wtih the vaccum

With a tap you can dip it into grease then the grease filled the flutes on the tap and that catches the shavings. But with a Areoquip bulkhead fittings you just have to drill a hole no tapping required.
