Too much crank case pressure is usually the result of a broken piston and/or ring.
If you have excessive crank case pressure it can contribute to detonation by allowing
too much oil past the rings and into the combustion chamber.
I think that if your tune is on the edge, that the oil mist induced detonation could cause
a head gasket failure.
Lots of variables......

gotcha, now could a broken PCV valve or lack of PCV valve do that?

Wishful thinking....
Something is probably broken due to running lean and/or hot in a few cyls..
Good luck!
