Default Finally got the new car fired up

Fired right up, had some issues of course (2 coolant leaks - 1 was a missing gasket on the coolant tube, the other seems to be a drain plug on the block above the oil cooler). But after hooking the IAC tube up & screwing the fuel regulator adj in about an inch it starting to sound pretty good. That EPP cam sounds NASTY with open headers! Thanks Jake & Bob!!!

I still have to get the blower installed. And the alt, PS pump & fans. But the SDCE bracket is on the truck, so if I can get enough run time on it in the garage & get the FMIC on I'll dyno it next weekend. Damn it feels good to make noise again.

Your going to use a MAF tune? Do you need a new MAF to pick up more boost? Motor loks great.

I got the EPP FMIC mounted today. Pretty easy install...well thought out kit! I'm going to cut some metal out under the fuse box since I have alum pipes (don't want any rubbing). I should be ready when the SDCE bracket gets here Tuesday.

But I'm wondering what the 2 1/2" spacers & the 2 slotted brackets are for?

Oh, and I need a screw-in IAT sensor Jake / Bob. Got one you can ship me ASAP?

You're still running a 4l60? You're crazy man. The car looks really nice.

Thanks! Yeah, this might be the last year for the 4L60. My tranny builder is good, but these things have their limits. I'll probably have to get him to build me a TH400 for next year. We were talking about putting one of the hardened input shafts in it but I ran out of time & money.

And I'm going to have to step up to a 2 bar SD tune too. I don't think I can fool the PCM for where this will end up. But I plan to run the MAF for driveability on the street. Not sure if it's the weather or the elevation up here in the NW (you can go from sea level to 5,000' during an all day cruise) but I have not been impressed with the SD tunes I've seen for daily driving.

Let me tell you guys I've heard it run a few times now and that thing is SICK! Got a nasty *** rumble to it that gives me wood!

I can not wait to hear that F1 with the racevalve installed. There'll be no mistaking who's comming around the corner when he takes it out.

I don't think Mark will have any trouble hitting his goals with this build.

Wish I had the time / patience / $$$ to make it as purdy as Marks.

Good job man.

While those MAFs sound interesting, I wonder how that PCB (if that is what that green part is) would stand up to the turbulence created by 25 psi at 6500 rpms?

And my car wasn't tuned by EPP. Not sure if they do SD tuning or not. I assume they do. I tried it once & had no luck, but I'm going to need to figure it out soon.

We tune everything and (just about) anything. We use EFI-live for the MAF/2bar/3bar tunes, and we also do a bit of tuning using Bigstuff 3 systems.
