Default Which one?? turbo or blower?

I have a 97 RS Camaro with a V6 that i wanna swap the motor with, and im looking at in the future after i get my stroker motor in my car to supercharge it, but some people i talk to say id get more power out of a turbo. i have one friend who has a turbo on his V6 and makes 325 rwhp. another friend of mine has a 383 stroker with about 6 lbs. of boost from his supercharger, i believe that he has about 400 or so rwhp. im stuck on what will make the most power and still be street and somewhat daily drivable?

help im confused

You can make big power with either a turbo or super charger. Your best bet is to make a list of goals and put together a price sheet then decide what meets your budget and desires.

400rwhp from a 383 with 6# of boost from a supercharger is extremely low

agree with everything.

just remember with all the power you need to keep your transmission clutch/stall and rear end in mind. also suspension to plant everything to the ground.

I say get the motor in it and then do some searches, and then ask the question... Money goes fast when you start modding and swapping..

actualy its proly right if its behind an automatic theres some loss to the tires and the charger robs some to depending on the charger and it rotating lag so add 30 to the motor from the auto and 50 from the charger and thats 480 at the fly with only 6 lbs........pluuuuus we dont know the engine model or induction...so who knows....

On a stock block as the come maybe but a 383 itself should be able to lay that down alone, even with crappy heads. If I built a 383 with anything less than 450rwhp with a conservative cam I'd be pist. I agree on not knowing enough info but to the opostion, do a SEARCH!
