Its a Speed Density tune. You would need to purchase a 2bar or 3bar Map sensor, depending on your application, and get rid of the MAF. Your tuner should know how to tune for it.

if you are planning on keeping the MAF tho, just use a stock one. There is no way an aftermarket MAF will be any better than a stock one.

How well does a speed density tune handle elevation change? I drive at about 5600 ft normally, but if I take the car up to the mountains I can hit 8000ft.. hell even 10000ft on some of the passes.

from what i hear, SD is kind like a carb when it comes to changes in atmosphere. you have to get the car retuned for extreme elevations and climate changes (i.e. every season if its not a summer only car)

thats why i plan on going MAF, the lingenfelter 100mm MAF is my choice btw.

Do you have to keep the MAF? How would you get rid of it?

That's what my understanding is as well which makes it seem like a really unreliable tune.

You are wrong, if tuned right SD is way better and will compensate for temp and elevation changes. Research it some more, FWIW, all the Dodge Hemi's come factory with SD tune's!

Wow there is a lot of mis information in this thread.

? for the thread starter. Are you maxing out your current MAF? I am going to guess no. No need to change unless you are just trying to increase physical size from the stocker. Get a GM parts Z06 MAF and have somebody tune it to the car and leave it alone until you max the table.
