I'm trying to run the 12.0 index class at ATCO raceway so i need a car to be right around 12 seconds. I was looking into putting a turbo onto my stock 2000 z28, what kind of power in a turbo should i be looking for and what brand makes the one i should be looking for.

For 12.0, I'd do bolt-on's, a good converter, and a good tire. Isn't the bolt-on LS1 record in the 11.3 range??? No point in installing all the unreliability, complication, and cost associated with a turbo for that goal.

edit: LS1 bolt-on only record is 10.98 at 119 mph.

I agree......except you won't get all the stupid stares from ricers and WTF happened looks from bikes that having a turbo creates Something about the whistle from a V8 that just scares the snot outta the import crowd

If auto a decent stall and cam alone will get you there easily...
