Should i bump up the boost?
Im running 13lbs on a precision 67mm turbo on a qmp or tti street kit. Im going to be upgrading the kit towards the end of the season to run about 19psi through a 78mm.
My question is untill then since i have a 3bar map sensor and a boost controller and enough fuel, should i try bumping it up to lets say 17-18lbs now.

What did you dyno at that boost level? Was your car kinda lazy on the 10.8 pass, I was thinking you would have run a little stronger.
Boost yours up to 16psi and let's go race over on Peterson Ave.

It pulled 500rwhp&480ftlbs at 13psi on an unlocked 3k stall through a 370gear 9inch on a mustang dyno. The 10.8 was a very easy pass,i pulled right off the highway put the slick on back with no skinnies and ripped it twice then they kicked me out. Both hot laps with 2.5 hours of traffic driving before. Im thinking under better conditions maybe a 10.6 at the Grove.
John,
Let me bring my video camera and ill run you down Pererson any day. After this week because im on 24/7 call and dont have my car.

I think it would fun as long as we don't get busted. Heck Jimmy P lives around by us too, he's got a new combo coming together. His buddy Pete does too.
I'd find out what the turbo you have can support, but I'm thinking you should go 10.5 as you sit right now off the top of my head.

How are they on tech there? I still dont have a cage. Also,i just ordered the aem electric boost controller. So after i get my 3bar tune done ill be cranking it to about 17-18lbs.
I read an article in a new thread on backpressure with smaller turbos. What do you guys think about a 67mm on a stock cube ls1 at 17-18psi. Am i asking for trouble?

Okay so i ended up getting the aem boost controller a 3bar map sensor and the new tc78mm turbo from drturbo. This way i can crank it up alittle and be a tad bit safer. Im thinking im going to gain alot even leaving it at 13psi but u never know.

For now im just going to bolt it on to this kit and go to town. I do realize that my kit isnt the most effective to todays standard but im doing really well with it now and i think this new turbo will just make it better. Josh at Kentucky turbo is working on making a similar log setup for me with bigger primaries and a bigger log itself. I like how simple my setup is now and want to stick with a similar design.
