Default please tell me what turbo i have turbo experts help (pics included)

alright guys i bought this when i first started my build and didn't know much about turbos (heck i still don't) anyways i bought it from a supra guy here in town he said i was a freshly rebuilt garett gt42-76 he bought it never installed it cuase it was to big.
anyways its says its a 1.22 ar and ive never seen a 1.22 ar garett gt42 and there are a few features that i don't see on other garrett turbos. so could someone help me positively identify it

oh and i will be running a fully built 347 ls1 i want the turbo to make a least 800 rwhp or max out my engine (i run 317 heads with arp head studs as my weakest link) car will only be raced at the track (already got in enough trouble for street racing)

here are some pics of the turbo i took pics of any identification marks that i could

1.22 is quite a common housing for the rotor guys,

it looks like a plain bearing GT42.

measure the front wheel to be sure

it should be 76mm on the small side and 102mm on the big side

Gt-42s were also made in 72mm and 74mm

reason i asked is cuase i heard garretts have 10 blades on the exhuast turbine this one has 11 and it just looked different.

the wheels are 76 and 102 im pretty sure but ill recheck

and the most important question will this baby get me to at least 800rwhp on my 347 or max it out im running short headers to a front engine crossover pipe right into the turbo and a 4 in downpipe dumped under the passenger seat lol (yeah i know ill prolly have problems with that) heads are 317 comp is 8.2 to 1 and rest of engine is forged but otherwise stock parameters oh and it runs a 224ish on a 114 lsa cam

if it is the 76/102 it will have no problems making 800rwhp,

it will be enough to run low 9's with the right setup

Measure the inducer wheel on the intake side to verify that it is a 76mm tubo. By the looks of your exhaust inlet it seems to be a T6 flange. The T6 will offer good flow but will cost you on spool time. The 1.22 A/R doesn't help in this case. A .96A/R -1.08A/R is more sought after. Looks like a TV series turbo to me. Heavy wheels, large A/R and a T6 flange equals alot of flow potential but also a slow spool time on a stock cubed motor. Don't have any proof of this but it is a strong opinion of mine. Let other chime in.

T6 flange has nothing to do with the size of the wheel,

you can get a 1.05 housing with a ta45 flange to fit on the same turbine wheel no problems at all, that is what i would personally be runinng on a 346,

so do u guys think this thing will be fine then for my goals? i was hoping the 1.22 a/r won't kill me since it will only be raced at the track so spool time won't be as big of an issue but like i said im not an expert on this stuff

1.22 will be ok, a little laggy compared to the 1.05 but will work, if you can find a cheap 1.05 housing i would go with that

how much is a 1.05 housing would it be worth to buy that then get a new turbo? what would be the difference in peak hp?
