Default How do you size an intercooler?

I'm looking to get an intercooler and I was wondering how to size one up... Do you go by turbo compressor flow rate only? This will be for a rear mounted TC78.

Thanks!

Fit the biggest possible intercooler you can in the space that you have.
That way when you turn up the wick later, you will not have to redesign the setup.
Determine your HP goals, then check out how much space you have to work with.
You can make up a box from cardboard in the dimensions of an intercooler that you THINK will fit before purchasing anything.
This will help you get an idea where the inlet/outlet need to be.
Calling a sponsor with your goals would be helpful too.
With all the FI builds on this site, you can do a little searching to see if someone has a similar car as yours and see what they did.
