I just installed a set in a new build.
No problems so far, have not put them to the full blown test yet. Can say this I have not seen any blowby or burring oil, seemed to seat rather quickly.

There are very few actual ring manufacturers out there. Ak' & Childs Xtreme rings use the identical HTD ring as the Hellfire... IDENTICAL. They're both patented and made by Perfect Circle. The second and oil rings are run of the mill stuff on HTD sets. I'm putting the Xtremes in the current build which should be in the 900+rwhp (408, F1R, small shot). Run 'em.

Thank guys, I'll use em. Also what clearances are you running in your FI engines on mains and rods?

Digging up an OLD topic....

Thinking about these since they seem to be priced cheaper than the Hellfire sets....

Anyone else have some opinions?

Not many companies actually make rings from what I'm told. Many manufacturers have been purchased by Mahle over the years, including Perfect Circle.
Speed Pro buys thier perfromance piston rings from Perfect Circle including their Hellfire rings.
