Default FI on a old pontiac BB selecting a turbo?

I have a turbo off of a detroit thats fresh, And were building a turbo charges 434 CI pontiac engine for a 78 bird.

I read the faq's and i am just having trouble understanding how to determine if it will be big enough for this setup. it will be a single turbo engine and the only numbers i can get off of it is on the cold side is a/r .55 and the hot side is a .87

is there any way to determine if this will work with out opening it up to measure the turbines??

I can't explain it to you in proper terms, but unless you are entering a stump pulling competition, that turbo is not going to work. The physical size is to small for a 400+ci motor, and the housing ARs are too small as well.

Post your question over here. There are lots of guys that can help you out with proper turbo size for that motor and also some turbo'd Pontiac stuff as well.
